Lean Summit 2014 in Bangalore (India) On 5th & 6th November 2014
Theme: Sustained Lean Transformation

The purpose of this summit is to raise consciousness, generate enthusiasm, and explore new frontiers in Lean Thinking and practices.

The Lean Summit is a two-day mega event designed for mid- to upper-level managers, with a focus on sustaining their lean journey at the transformational level, and providing them the insights into innovative ways to enhance their lean journey.

Highlights:
Deep knowledge development from the best known sensei in the lean world - John Y Shook, Chairman & CEO of Lean Enterprise Institute and Jose Roberto Ferro, President Lean Institute Brasil
A variety of learning situations, including keynotes, interactive learning sessions, and CEO panel discussion.

We are all trying to transform: That’s what lean thinking and practice are all about. Challenging us to reflect deeply on how we can improve this situation, improve my organization, or improve myself (and of course, all three.) Each of us knows from experience that this work is never easy. Whether you are toiling at the gemba, struggling with your mid-level team, or fighting to transform your organization, this is tough work.

Customers are the reasons our companies exist: And customers have never, as Jim Womack has noted, offered to pay more for a product or service because we’ve put more management in it. But continuously improving management systems – from product development to problem solving, from capability development to leader development, – allow our companies to provide better value to customers in the form of better quality, more reliable delivery, better service, and lower cost. Precisely the things customers will pay more for.

Lean is the way forward:  To reduce our per capita rate of depletion of nature to ensure sustainable economic growth, instead of current business as usual approach, to prevent collapse of our civilization.

UK Lean Summit 2014 - Lean Transformation: Practical Next Steps »

This is the fallback content for users who cannot see the Google Map.

As part of our mission to help organisations with their Lean journeys the Lean Enterprise Academy is holding its annual UK Lean Summit at Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth.
Our first UK Lean Summit was held in 1997 and since that time we have held a Summit each time we have felt that there was something important for the Lean Community to hear.
• 5 Presentations
• 8 Learning Sessions
• 3 Lean Masterclasses
The purposes of the Summit are as follows:
• To raise consciousness of the latest developments in Lean Thinking and Practice
• To provide insight into practical ways to get started, deepen or enhance your Lean journey
• To enable participants to build their own network of Lean Thinkers
We do this by:
• Bringing together the best Lean practitioners and sensei in the Lean world for participants to learn from
• Building time into the programme for participants to network
• Providing pre-Summit workshops on leading edge topics
• Enabling groups from the same organisations to come to the Summit to learn together
Key questions for this year’s UK Lean Summit:
• What does it take to move beyond legacy assets and mind-sets to involve users in creating new lean solutions?
• How to build a management system to spread lean across the organisation?
• How to develop leaders to implement, sustain and expand lean transformation?
• How to develop problem solving capability in the organisation?
• What are the key elements of Lean transformation?
• What is the role of a lean team in a successful transformation?
• What are the key lessons learned from applying Lean Thinking in different sectors (Government, Health, Industry, Retail and Service) both internally and across the Supply Chain?
• Where does lean go next?
This is a unique opportunity for the Lean Enterprise Academy’s community to come together.
