Why isn’t there an affiliate in _?
There are currently 16 LGN Affiliates. Rather than travel from one country to another in search of new Affiliates—creating a kind of push system—we have found value in future affiliates responding to a market need which then prompts them to ask for our support—creating more of a pull system.

Do all Affiliates have to be non-profits?
Non-profit laws in the US don’t always translate to other government systems, and we understand the dilemma that poses for potential affiliates. When we state that affiliates are non-profit, this is not a strict rule. However, we do require that all Affiliates behave as non-profits, even if that status is not possible in their specific country. For example, we ask that all profits gained (notice that profit still occurs) be reinvested in the company, not dispersed in employee bonuses or dividends. We also expect that the mission be to further lean thinking and promote helping companies to help themselves become more successful through the involvement and respect of employees.
How can I order books from an Affiliate if I can’t read their website?
Even if you don’t speak a certain language, you can still order books from any Affiliate. Do either of the following:
- Option 1: If you go to an LGN website you can read and see what translations they offer. Some Affiliates sell books in more than one language.
- Option 2: Write to the general info account of any Affiliate to ask about ordering their translations. Someone there will be able to assist you. For the info account at the Affiliate nearest you, refer to the Affiliates –at-a-Glance page.
