Gilbert Liégeois, President
Gilbert Liégeois is the founder, chairman and President of the French Lean Institute, a non-profit organization disseminating lean practices to French manufacturers and various companies. ILF’s offices are located in Lyon.
For the past twenty years, this automation engineer and researcher was the General Delegate of the Pôle Productique Rhône-Alpes (PPRA), an association founded by the government and the Rhône Alpes region, to help businesses establish regional organizations and performance tools, including Lean Management and Supply Chain Management. From this institution, the French Lean Institute was created.
From 1978 to 1986, he was in charge of the “Industrial Automation Laboratory” of the INSA from Lyon. Then, he was for 4 years in charge of the “industrial automation-robotics” service at the Ministry of Research.
He graduated from the Esstin, holds a Master in Automation from Lyon 1 University and a doctorate in industrial automation.
